Il volo Flydubai FZ1073 da Dubai a Tel Aviv (Boeing 737 MAX, circa 160-180 passeggeri, molti israeliani) ha avuto un incidente grave in cabina di pilotaggio.
Durante il volo, sopra l’Arabia Saudita / confine giordano, è scoppiata una colluttazione violenta. Secondo le testimonianze dei passeggeri e le prime ricostruzioni israeliane, uno dei due piloti ha accoltellato ripetutamente l’altro con un coltellino.
L’aereo ha perso il controllo, è sceso bruscamente di circa 14.000-17.000 piedi in pochi secondi e ha trasmesso prima il codice 7700 (emergenza generale) e poi il 7500 (interferenza illecita / possibile dirottamento).
Equipaggio e passeggeri (soprattutto israeliani seduti davanti) hanno forzato la porta della cabina, immobilizzato l’aggressore e tenuto sotto controllo la situazione. A bordo c’erano anche altri piloti in trasferimento che hanno aiutato a riprendere i comandi. L’aereo è atterrato in emergenza a Tabuk, in Arabia Saudita. Tutti i passeggeri sono illesi; entrambi i piloti sono stati ricoverati. Lo scivolo/timone di coda ha riportato danni attribuibili alla picchiata.
